1967-Dragan Djukic scores three goals as the Oakland Clippers win the National Professional Soccer League championship with a 4-1 win over the Baltimore Bays in the second game of their two-game playoff.

1967-The National Professional Soccer League, alleging a conspiracy to drive it out of business, files an $18 million  lawsuit against FIFA,  the United States Soccer Football Association and the United Soccer Association.

1967-The Dallas Tornado announce they will undertake a worldwide tour, playing 40-45 games across the globe between October and March.

1981-Giorgio Chinaglia and Wim Rijsbergen score as the New York Cosmos beat the Tampa Bay Rowdies 2-0 to take their best of three playoff series and advance to the semifinals.

1981-The San Diego Sockers advance the NASL semifinals for the third straight year, coming from behind to beat the Jacksonville Tea Men 3-1 at Jack Murphy Stadium.

 1994-Zizinho scores four goals, but Monterrey La Raza lose to the Washington Warthogs 11-9 in a CISL playoff game.

 1996-The Dallas Sidekicks Tatu has four assists in an 11-5 win over the Indiana Twisters.

2001-Mia Hamm scores two goals a minute apart, and adds an assist as the United States defeats Germany 4-1 in the U.S. Women's Cup at Soldier Field.

2006-Two goals by Davy Arnaud helped lead the Kansas City Wizards to a 4-1 win over the Colorado Rapids at Arrowhead Stadium.

2007-Luciano Emilio scored two second half goals to lead D.C. United to a 4-2 win over the New England Revolution at RFK Stadium.

2007- Elano s scores an injury time goal and giving Brazil  a 4-2 win over the U.S.  in front of 43,543 at Soldier Field.

2009- Ricardo Clark scores in the 62nd minute to break a scoreless tie and lift a struggling U.S. team to a 1-0 victory over Trinidad Tobago at Hasely Crawford Stadium.,

2009- Luciano Emilio scores the game's only goal as DC  United remains unbeaten at home after a 1-0 win over the Kansas City Wizards at RFK Stadium.

 2011- Landon Donovan scores the only goal as the LA Galaxy become the  first team in MLS to qualify for the playoffs,  with a 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids at the Home Depot Center.

 2014-Miguel Layun scores in the 18th minute and Mexico holds on for a 1-0 win over Bolivia in front of 18,136 at Dicks Sporting Goods Park.

2014-Willian finishes off a spectacular goal for Brazil, enough for a 1-0 victory over Ecuador in an international friendly at MetLife Stadium. A crowd of 35,975 watches the game, played on grass placed over artificial turf.

2015-Cristian Techera came through with a goal and an assist in a four-minute span of the second half to lift Vancouver Whitecaps FC over the Colorado Rapids 2-0 and into first place in the Western Conference and Supporters' Shield standings at BC Place.
