1927-Brooklyn Hispano defeats the touring Maccabi F.C. of Tel Aviv 3-2 at Hawthorne Field in Brooklyn.

1982-Lorenz Hilkes scores twice to lead the San Diego Sockers to a 4-1 win over the Edmonton Drillers at Jack Murphy Stadium.

1982-The Fort Lauderdale Strikers top the Tampa Bay Rowdies 3-1 to capture third place in the Sunshine International Series. Sao Paolo win the tournament title defeating Ipswich 1-0 in the first game.

1982-Karl-Heinz Granitza scores twice in the second half to lead the Chicago Sting to a 2-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes. The two goals move Granitza into no.2 position on the NASL All-Time scoring list, ahead of Paul Child and behind Giorgio Chinaglia.

1984-The United States falls to Italy 1-0 in an Olympic match at the Rose Bowl.

 1993-David Doyle scores three goals and Tatu has four assists in a 9-1 Dallas Sidekicks win over the Sacramento Knights.

2004-FC Porto edges Liverpool 1-0 on Carlos Alberto's 85th-minute goal  in front of 40,087 at SkyDome in Toronto.

2004-The MLS East All-Stars defeat the West 3-2 at RFK Stadium. NY/NJ MetroStars forward Amado Guevara takes MVP honors with two goals and an assist.

2005-Chelsea and AC Milan play to a lackluster 1-1 draw in front of 35,444 at Giants Stadium.

2007-Landon Donovan scores one goal and sets up three others to help the LA Galaxy advance to the CONCACAF Superliga semifinals with a 6-5 win over FC Dallas at Pizza Hut Park. Pachuca also clinches a semifinal berth with a  1-0 over Chivas de Guadalajara at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

2011-Veronica Boquete scores her third game winner in the last four games to give the Philadelphia Independence a 1-0 victory over the Atlanta Beat, and second seed in the WPS playoffs, in front of a season high 4,162 fans at Leslie Quick Stadium.

2011-The New York Red Bulls clinch the Emirates Cup with a 1-1 draw against Arsenal before a crowd of 60,011 at Emirates Stadium. Former Gunner Thierry Henry sets the clinching play -- and own goal by Arsenal's Kyle Bartley - in motion in the 84th minute.

2012-Abby Wambach scores her 141st international goal to give the U.S. Women a 1-0 win over North Korea at Old Trafford to close out Group G play in the London Olympic Games.

2013-Alessandro Florenzi has a goal and an assist, leading AS Roma to a 3-1 win over the Major League Soccer All-Stars in the MLS All-Star Game in front of 21,175 at Sporting Park. LA Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez flicks Camillo Sanvezzo's 25-yard free kick into the net in stoppage time to save the All-Stars from the shutout.

2015-Ibson extends his goal scoring streak to three games with the 85th-minute equalizer as Minnesota United FC rallies from a late two-goal deficit to tie Jacksonville Armada FC 3-3 in front of 6,847 at Community First Park.

2016-Sebastian Giovinco plays a role in every goal as Toronto FC blanks Columbus Crew SC 3-0 at BMO Field. The Atomic Ant has a dipping shot glance off teammate Tsubasa Endoh's back and into the net in the eighth minute, buries a right-footer in the 24th, and sets the table for Jozy Altidore with a give-and-go in the 87th.

2016-Bradley Wright-Phillips scores his club-record 63rd goal to lift the New York Red Bulls into a 2-2 stoppage-time draw with the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park.
