1967-Bermuda defeats the United States 7-3 in a Pan-Am Games match in Winnipeg.

1971- Randy Horton scores both goals as the New York Cosmos play the Toronto Metros to a 2-2 draw.

1971-Steve Gay scores all three goals as the United States defeats Barbados in an Olympic qualifier in Miami.

1975-The Hartford Bicentennials snap their league record 11-game losing streak with a 4-3 tiebreaker penalty kick victory over San Jose. The loss is the Earthquakes' sixth in a row.

1978--Willie Anderson assists on the tying goal and scores the winner to lead the Portland Timbers to a 2-1 victory over the Dallas Tornado.

1980-Eddie Firmani earns his 100th career coaching win (playoff and regular season) as the Philadelphia Fury upset the Seattle Sounders 1-0 at the Kingdome.

1980-For the second time in three nights, the NASL single game assist record is tied, when Nino Zec sets up four Houston Hurricanes goals in a 6-2 win over the Rochester Lancers at the Astrodome.

1982-The MISL grants membership to the San Diego Sockers of the North American Soccer League for the 1982-83 season.

 1995-Branko Segota registers five assists in the Las Vegas Dustdevils' 11-7 CISL win over the Houston Hotshots.

2001-The San Diego Spirit snaps the Bay Area Cyber Rays 10-game unbeaten streak with a 2-0 WUSA win at Spartan Stadium.

2005-Chelsea holds off A.C. Milan after Arjen Robben's 13th-minute goal as the English Premiership champions blanked the Italian Serie A side, 1-0, in the first game of the World Series of Football at Gillette Stadium.

2007- Monarcas Morelia scores a late goal to tie D.C. United 1-1 in a SuperLiga game at R.F.K. Stadium.

2007- Nate Jacqua scores the only goal to give the Houston Dynamo a 1-0 CONCACAF SuperLiga win over Club America at Roberston Stadium.

2009-The Columbus Crew set a Major League Soccer record with their 19th straight home win, defeating Toronto FC 2-1 at Columbus Crew Stadium. Jason Garey beats Toronto goalkeeper Stefan Frei two minutes into stoppage time for the game winner.

2010-Dane Richards sets up one goal and scores another to lift the New York Red Bulls to a 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the final game of the Barclays New York Challenge at Red Bull Arena.

2010-Kelly Smith scores two goals within a three-minute span and the Boston Breakers take a 3-1 victory over the Chicago Red Stars at Toyota Park.

2012- Faced with a two-goal deficit after a nightmare start, the United States rallies to a 4-2 victory over France in the opening women's Olympic match for both teams at Hampden Park.

2012-The MLS All-Stars defeat European champions Chelsea FC 3-2 at PPL Park. Dwayne de Rosario sets up Chris Rolfe for the 2-2 equalizer and Eddie Johnson buries the winner in stoppage time.

2012- Michael Bradley notches a second-half goal to get the scoring started and Roma goes on to defeat Liverpool 2-1 in front of a near-capacity crowd of 37,169 at Fenway Park.

2013-The North American Soccer League Board of Governors unanimously approves expansion franchise bids from Jacksonville, Fla. and Oklahoma City, Okla.

2013- Megan Rapinoe scores two goals and assists on another, leading the Seattle Reign to a 4-1 win over the Chicago Red Stars at Starfire Stadium.

2014-Ethan White’s 20th-minute own goal is the difference-maker as Crystal Palace FC edges the Philadelphia Union 1-0 at PPL Park.

2014-Heather O'Reilly scores two goals and Lianne Sanderson and Jazmyne Reeves each added one as the Boston Breakers end their three game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Western New York Flash at Sahlen's Stadium.

2015-Toronto FC rallies from three goals down to tie Columbus Crew SC 3-3 at MAPFRE Stadium. Jozy Altidore's 89th-minute penalty kick completes a Toronto comeback jumpstarted by Sebastian Giovinco and Collen Warner, each of whom had a goal and an assist.

2015-For the second consecutive week, Sky Blue FC scores three goals, defeating the Boston Breakers 3-1 at Yurcak Field.

2015-The United States completes one of its poorest showings at the CONCACAF Gold Cup with an uninspiring shootout loss to Panama in the third-place match at PPL Park.

2015-The U.S. Men's National Team is drawn into Group C of CONCACAF's Semifinal Round of qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup during the Preliminary Draw for the 2018 World Cup in St. Petersburg, Russia.
