1921-After winning 24 consecutive games, Scotland's Third Lanark plays to a 1-1 draw against Fall River S.C. to end their North American tour.
1963-Gornik of Poland defeats Rapid Vienna 3-2 in front of 7,321 at the University of Detroit to move into first place in the International Soccer League.
1968-The Oakland Clippers' Selimir Milosevic scores two goals in a 5-1 win over the Dallas Tornado, giving him five straight goals in the club's last two games.
2005-With coach Bruce Arena watching from the locker room after being ejected, the U.S. mounts an incredible comeback on a John O'Brien equalizer in the 86th minute and then Oguchi Onyewu's header off Landon Donovan's 30-yard free kick two minutes into stoppage time for a 2-1 win over Honduras in a CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal at Giants Stadium.
2007- Former England captain David Beckham makes his much-hyped Los Angeles Galaxy debut, coming in as a late second-half substitute in the MLS team's 1-0 loss to Chelsea.
2010- The United Soccer Leagues announces it is going to take a crack at indoor soccer, with the Rochester Lancers named as the first team.
2013-Abby Wambach assists on two goals, leading the Western New York Flash to a 3-0 win over Sky Blue FC at Sahlen's Stadium.
2013- Landon Donovan sets up three goals, plays the dummy on another and scores on a brilliant run as the United States routs El Salvador 5-1 in a Gold Cup quarterfinal in front of 70,540 at M&T Bank Stadium.
2013-The Richmond Kickers extend their USL PRO-record undefeated streak to 19 games as they rally past the Los Angeles Blues for a 2-1 victory at Titan Stadium.
2015-Dom Dwyer scores the go-ahead goal and assists on an insurance tally as Sporting Kansas City secure a berth in the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinals with a 3-1 comeback victory over the Houston Dynamo at Sporting Park.
