July 19

1931-The NY Hakoah All Stars open a six-game trip to Cuba and Costa Rica with a 2-0 win over Iberia F.C.

1964-An International Soccer League game between Red Star of Belgrade and AEK at Downing Stadium in New York is abandoned after 84 minutes because of a fan disturbance.

1975-Toronto Metros-Croatia win their fourth straight--and fourth by shutout--beating the New York Cosmos 3-0 in front of a club record sellout crowd of 21,573 at Varsity Stadium.

1975-John Rowlands scores two goals as the Seattle Sounders blank the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-0.

1980-Karl Heinz Granitza scores two goals and adds three assists as the Chicago Sting defeat the Tulsa Roughnecks 7-1 at Comiskey Park.

1980-The Atlanta Chiefs are shut out for the 12th time in a 1-0 loss to the Los Angeles Aztecs, tying a league record set by Philadelphia in 1979.

1981-Glasgow Rangers defeat Southampton 2-1 and the New York Cosmos and Seattle Sounders play to a 3-3 draw in a Trans Atlantic Challenge Cup doubleheader at Giants Stadium. The Sounders win the Cup based on total goals.

2006- The Los Angeles Galaxy and Crystal Palace play to a 1-1 tie at the University of Richmond Stadium, in a game that is called before the start of the second half due to thunderstorms.

2007- USL1 side Seattle Sounders eliminates Chivas USA  in the third round of the US Open Cup, with a 3-1  win in a game played at Qwest Field.

2008- Landon Donovan scores off a curling, 30-yard shot from the left side two minutes into stoppage time to give the Los Angeles Galaxy a 2-2 draw with the New York Red Bulls before a season-high crowd of 46,754 at Giants Stadium.

2009- Abby Wambach scores her 100th international career goal in front of a hometown crowd of 8,433 that included her parents as the United States edged Canada, 1-0, at Marina Auto Stadium in Rochester, NY.

2009-A Texas-record crowd of 82, 250 sees Mexico beat Haiti 4-0 in the second 2009 Gold Cup quarterfinal at the brand new Dallas Cowboys’ Stadium.

2009- David Beckham assists on both goals as the L.A. Galaxy come from behind twice to tie A.C. Milan 2-2 at the Home Depot Center.

2014-Seattle Sounders FC play  to a 3-3 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in an international friendly at CenturyLink Field.

2014- Minnesota United FC defeat Premier League side Swansea City AFC 2-0 in an international friendly in front of a franchise record sellout crowd of 9,064 fans at National Sports Center Stadium.

2014-The LA Galaxy II stop Oklahoma Energy's eight-game unbeaten streak with a 1-0 victory at Pribil Stadium in Oklahoma City.
