1971-Jorge Siega scores two goals to give the New York Cosmos a 2-0 win over the Toronto Metros at Yankee Stadium.

1979-Dave Morrison,  entering his first pro game in the waning minutes of overtime, stops three Vancouver Whitecaps shootout attempts to give the Los Angeles Aztecs a 3-2 win in front of a club playoff record crowd of 21,213 at the Rose Bowl.

1981-Ron Futcher scores two goals and assists on another as the Minnesota Kicks defeat the Tulsa Roughnecks 3-1 in the first round of the NASL Playoffs.

1981-The Portland Timbers score twice in three minutes to beat the San Diego Sockers in their NASL first round playoff game.

1998-Cobi Jones scores three goals and assists on two other in the Los Angeles Galaxy's 5-01 win over the New England Revolution, becoming only the second player in MLS to register three hat tricks in one season.

2007-The U.S. Men's National Team falls 1-0 to Sweden in Goteburg.

2007- Jose Burciaga Jr. scores a goal and assists on two others as the Kansas City Wizards defeat the man-down Chicago Fire 3-2 in front of 12,468 at Arrowhead Stadium.

2007-Jaime Moreno sets a new MLS career scoring record in the 48th minute of DC United's 3-1 win over the New York Red Bulls at RFK Stadium, with his 109th goal.

2007-Mexico begins their preparations for the upcoming CONCACAF pre-Olympic tournament with a 1-0 friendly defeat against Colombia at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

2010- FC Gold Pride clinches the WPS regular season championship and home field advantage for the league championship game with a 3-2 win over the Chicago Red Stars in front of a season-high crowd of 6,089 at Toyota Park. Marta's 79th-minute penalty kick seals the decision.

2012- Federico Higuaín scores a goal and adds an assist, leading the Columbus Crew to a 2-1 win over Toronto FC at Columbus Crew Stadium.

2014- Fabian Castillo and Je-Vaughn Watson score to boost shorthanded FC Dallas into a three-way tie at the top of the MLS West – and four-way logjam in the race for the MLS Supporters’ Shield –with a dramatic 2-1 win over Real Salt Lake at Toyota Stadium.

2015-Billy Forbes' goal in the 64th minute gives the San Antonio Scorpions a 1-0 win over the Jacksonville Armada at Toyota Field.

2015-Amy Rodriguez has two goals and Lauren Holiday adds a goal and an assist to lead FC Kansas City to a 3-0 win over the Boston Breakers at Swope Soccer Village.

2015-The Philadelphia Union spoil Didier Drogba's highly-anticipated debut for the Montreal Impact, getting a 78th-minute goal from Sebastien Le Toux to snatch a 1-0 win at sold-out Stade Saputo.
