1927-Maccabi F.C. of Tel Aviv ends their nine game United States tour with a 2-1 win over the Brooklyn Wanderers at Hawthorn Field. They end their visit with a 5-4-1 record.

1963-Dukla Prague defeats West Ham United 1-0 in front of 10,955 at Soldier Field to take the first game of their two-game series for the International Soccer League's Challenge Cup.

1976-Pat McBride scores a goal as he plays in his NASL record 173rd match, a 2-1 St. Louis Stars win over the Los Angeles Aztecs.

1982- Giancarlo Antognoni scores with two minutes left in the game to give the European All-Stars a 3-2 win over the Rest of the World in front of 76,891 at Giants Stadium.

1982-Laurie Abrahams and Barry Wallace each score two goals as the Tulsa Roughnecks defeat the Jacksonville Tea Men 5-0 at the Gator Bowl.

1988-Guatemala wins the LA Marlboro Cup tournament with a 3-2 win over Universidad de Guadalajara in front of 15,242 at the LA Coliseum. El Salvador beats the Ireland Olympic Team 1-0 for third place.

1994-Zizinho scores four goals, and nine other players find the net as Monterrey La Raza rout the Sacramento Knights 15-1.

2008-Stuart Holden's second-half goal and solid defensive play lift the United States over Japan 1-0 and into the Group B lead in Olympic Games play before 31,177 spectators at Tianjin Olympic Sports Center.

2010- Kei Kamara and Robbie Findley trade first-half goals as the Kansas City Wizards play defending champions Real Salt Lake to a 1-1 tie at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

2010- The Chicago Red Stars play the league leading FC Gold Pride to a 0-0 draw at Pioneer Stadium in Hayward, Calif.. Red Stars goalkeeper Jillian Loyden makes four saves while her counterpart, Gold Pride goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart, stops five for her league-leading sixth shutout.

2011-Lianne Sanderson scores in  the 90th minute to give the Philadelphia Independence a 2-1 win over Sky Blue FC at Leslie Quick Stadium in Chester, Pa.

2011-Dwayne De Rosario nets a hat trick in shorthanded DC United's 3-3 draw with Toronto FC at RFK Stadium.

2013- With her fourth goal in as many games, Carli Lloyd lifts the Western New York Flash to a 1-0 victory over Seattle Reign FC at Sahlen's Stadium.

2013- Dwayne De Rosario and Nick DeLeon score on either side of halftime to send DC United through to the US Open Cup Final with a 2-0 win over the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park.

2013-Alvaro Saborio has a goal and an assist to lead Real Salt Lake to their first-ever US Open Cup final with a 2-1 semifinal win over the Portland Timbers at Rio Tinto Stadium.

2014- Japanese international Nahomi “Naho” Kawasumi has two goals and an assist to lead Seattle Reign FC to a 4-1 win over the Houston Dash at Memorial Stadium, extending their unbeaten streak to five games.

2014-The LA Galaxy's Landon Donovan announces that he will retire from professional soccer at the end of the 2014 MLS season.

2015- Sky Blue FC gets goals from Nadia Nadim and Sam Kerr to defeat the Houston Dash 2-0 at BBVA Compass Stadium.

2016-The NASL's Jacksonville Armada FC fires Head Coach Tony Meola.

2016- Clint Dempsey has a hat trick to lead Seattle Sounders FC to a 3-1 comeback win over Orlando City SC at Camping World Stadium.

2016- The LA Galaxy score twice in the final ten minutes to pull out a 2-2 draw with the New York Red Bulls at the StubHub Center.
