1914-The Niagara Falls Rangers advance to the semifinal of the National Challenge Cup with a 2-1 win over the Chicago Pullmans.

1924-Alec Jackson scores the game winner as Bethlehem Steel defeats a team of St. Louis All-Stars 3-2 in the first of a two-game series at High School Field in St. Louis.

1967-After reaching an agreement with the Wolverhampton Wanderers to represent Los Angeles, the city's entry in the United Soccer Association settles on its third nickname, Wolves, before ever playing a game as either the Zorros or Americans.

1968-Following the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, the NASL announces that the four U.S. games on its schedule have been postponed.

1970-Mike Renshaw scores two goals to lead the Dallas Tornado to a 4-0 win over the St. Louis Stars in front of 6,108 at Francis Field in St. Louis.

1975-The San Antonio Thunder defeats the Kuwait National Team 8-1 in a pre-season game.

1981-Washington Diplomats goalkeeper Jim Brown scores on a field length punt in a 3-2 win over the Atlanta Chiefs at Atlanta Stadium.

1986-The Cleveland Force attracts the largest regular season crowd in MISL history, as 20,174 witness the Eastern Division clinching 7-4 win over the Minnesota Strikers.

1992-Steve Snow scores three goals, including the game winner in the final minute to lead the United States to s 4-3 win over Honduras in an Olympic Qualifier in front of 5,612 at St. Louis Soccer Park.

1999-Dan Califf scores the only goal as the United States defeats England 1-0 at the FIFA Youth World Cup in Kano, Nigeria.

2008- Jimmy Conrad scored two goals, both assisted by Carlos Marinelli, as the Kansas City Wizards defeated the Colorado Rapids 3-2 at CommunityAmerica Ballpark.

2008- Ricardinho gives the Detroit Ignition the MISL regular season championship, scoring with 1:26 left on the clock to defeat the Baltimore Blast 22-21 in the regular season finale before 6,713 at 1st Mariner Arena.

2009-  Marta finds  the net twice in the span of little more than two minutes to lead the Los Angeles Sol to a 2-0 win over Sky Blue in front of 6,053 at TD Bank Ballpark.

2009- Tiffeny Milbrett comes off the bench to lift FC Gold Pride to a 2-1 win over the Boston Breakers in the first-ever match for both teams in Women's Professional Soccer in front of 6,459 fans at Buck Shaw Stadium.

2013- Ugo Ihemelu scores in the fourth minute of stoppage time to lift FC Dallas  over the New England Revolution 1-0 at FC Dallas Stadium.

2013- Abby Wambach,  Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan all score as the U.S. Women's National Team plays to a 3-3 tie with Germany in front of 16,090 in Offernbach. 

2013-Claudio Bieler scores in the 89th minute to give Sporting Kansas City a 1-0 win over DC United at Sporting Park.

2014- Clint Dempsey scores twice in the final five minutes to complete his first career MLS hat trick as Seattle Sounders FC tie the Portland Timbers 4-4 at Providence Park.

2015- Javier Morales scores on a free kick to give Real Salt Lake a 1-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes at Avaya Stadium.
