PRINCESS ANNE, Md.-- The definitive, must-have resource for fans of soccer in the United States and Canada is back for 2018, bigger and better than ever.

North American Soccer Guide 2018 once again combines a complete wrapup of the past year in North American soccer with a calendar, schedules, rosters, record holders and all the information fans need to get the most out of the current soccer season. Every pro league, every pro team; national teams; youth; amateur; college. All in one accessible, fan-friendly package curated by leading soccer journalists.

North American Soccer Guide 2018 is 25% bigger than last year's edition, with expanded coverage of the USL, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and youth soccer, as well as the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

"Soccer in North America is quite expansive," said NASG Editor Charles Cuttone. "We wanted to put together a permanent record that not only connects all the dots, but also traces the lineage of the sport to its early days. We think we have done that."

The Guide's  history section spotlights Liverpool FC's 1948 tour of the United States and Canada and looks at RFK Stadium's long soccer legacy, as well as presenting key information on past leagues such as the North American Soccer League, Major Indoor Soccer League and the Women's United Soccer Association and Women's Professional Soccer.

Expanded records include all-time and single season scoring leaders across all men's and women's pro leagues, and single game attendance records for more than 50 stadia across the continent.

Edited by Charles and Linda Cuttone, and with contributions from some of North America's most experienced and accomplished soccer writers, North American Soccer Guide 2018 is the only place to find a comprehensive view of North American soccer.

Editor Charles Cuttone has been working in or writing about soccer for more than 40 years in a career that began in the public relations department of the New York Cosmos in 1975.

MLS  coverage is provided by longtime Boston Globe soccer columnist Frank Dell'Apa and Oregonian soccer writer Jamie Goldberg.

Dell'Apa also contributed coverage on the U.S. Men's and Women's National Teams, the Gold Cup and the NASL, while former  AP and Bloomberg veteran sportswriter Brian Trusdell covered the CONCACAF Champions League.

Portland-based NWSL contributor Katelyn Best  has covered women's soccer for FourFourTwo, ESPNW, NWSLSoccer.com, and Outsports.

College soccer coverage came from Kathryn L. Knapp, author of The Kickin' Hoosiers -- Jerry Yeagley and Championship Soccer at Indiana.

Canada-based soccer writer Danny Sankar, creator of the Eleven Books of Football series for kids and teens, contributed coverage of Canadian national teams.
